IMPORTANT DETAILS
The Museum Teacher Fellowship Program seeks to train educators to become local leaders in Holocaust education. The Museum Teacher Fellows (MTFs) support the Museum’s mission to promote quality Holocaust education rooted in accurate history and responsible pedagogy.
The Museum’s teacher training programs reinforce that learning how and why the Holocaust happened is essential to education in America and strengthens students' critical thinking.

Please only apply if you're able and willing to travel to Washington, DC, and attend the full sessions in both 2025 and 2026.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must be full-time secondary (middle school and high school) classroom teachers of history, social studies, foreign languages, English, journalism, or other related disciplines.
- Applicants must live and teach in the United States.
- Applicants must have attended the 2024 virtual Belfer National Conference for Holocaust Education.
- Teachers selected must prioritize the commitment to the Fellowship program over other professional development opportunities during the 2025–26 Fellowship year (June 2025–July 2026).
- Applicants must be willing to facilitate a professional development presentation during the Fellowship year that shares Museum educational resources in their communities.
PROGRAM BENEFITS

Receive a $1,600 stipend to offset travel expenses for each trip to Washington, DC. Additionally, hotel, daily transportation, and most meals are provided.

Receive a $2,200 honorarium for your work during the Fellowship year, payable after completing all requirements.
You become a Museum Teacher Fellow after you complete the full Fellowship year and meet all program requirements.
